Hello all,

My first post here so please bear with me. I have a slightly complex scenario and I suspect this issue is dealt with somewhere but due to its complexity I am not sure what to search for without having to read the entire internet......

I've just backed up and upgraded my wife's MBA to High Sierra from 10.9 - mostly to get the up to date security features in Safari etc. When I did the upgrade I had to create a new Apple ID because we have hardly ever needed needed it before and the old one was long forgotten.
Upgrade all went well but the old version of iPhoto is no longer compatible. There is an upgrade option for iPhoto in the App store BUT it needs the original Apple ID credentials from several years ago. These were registered with an email service which is no longer live - the old ISP shut it down it a few years ago - so I cannot get this resurrected. I don't think we registered any recovery phone numbers etc.

Is there any other way I can get the latest version of iPhoto?

My wife does not like change and is used to iPhoto. Obviously I can try and get her to use Photos but this will be a mountain to climb (it'll be my fault that technology is so complicated - I just want some peace at home). I *could* revert back to 10.9

Thanks in advance to you kind people.

I found a slightly later version of iPhoto on my MBP which runs under High Sierra so copied this across and it seems to work.
