Hi all!

Sorry if I use terms incorrectly in here, but this is my first time trouble shooting a mac.

Basically my problem is that I cannot sucessfully mount a drive on my windows network. However, on my windows computer I can view my files on the mac.

For some reason, I am unable to connect to my windows computer (yes, the firewall is off and sharing is working correctly because I have a linux box that can sucessfully talk with it) I keep recieving the error that the alias cannot be found. I am able to ping it.

I believe the error may have to do with my samba version? I noticed on many tutorials for setting up your mac to talk with your windows network that in their directory access where the samba service is located, it shows version 1.2 and mine shows 1.1.4?

I am running Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) on a G4 Powerbook.

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated!

Thanks
