I am running 10.5.8 on my White MacBook and need to update to Snow leopard but my disc drive is broken. Any idea how I can install snow Leopard?

If you have access to another mac nearby and Provided you have a SL install disc, you can create a bootable USB thumb drive installer provided you meet the system requirements for SL. What version of White MacBook do you have. If it's pre unibody and has a FireWire port, you could also connect the cable to another mac with FireWire and a working disc drive and install via target disk mode.
