I recently built a windows pc and was wondering if it was possible to use
this iMac as a windows pc monitor and if so how?

I'm using a Sapphire HD 6850 with a regular display port, hdmi port, and dvi ports if that matters.

AirDisplay or ScreenRecycler, but since it is a network connection, the display of moving images is not really up to par for video playback.

The 20" doesn't have a video-in port. No cables will get around that. The 27" models have video-in (pre-thunderbolt) and the thunderbolt models allow video-in but only from another thunderbolt port.

The mac you stated only has video out ports which would be used to link the iMac to a second monitor. What you're in need of is video in ports which you don't have. No such luck.
