How to use a MacBook Pro's screen as an extended screen for Windows PC?

Hi, I know that we could use an iPad as a secondary screen for a Windows PC and hardware-wise there is no video input port on the MacBook Pro. Are there good options to allow a MacBook Pro's screen to be used as an external display for a Windows PC? Ideally I could do that with the MacBook Pro either next to the desktop PC or in another room. I don't want to use mirror mode. I want extended screen mode at near 4K resolutions.
