How do I use the MacPorts version of QEMU I installed the other way.
 
It's a command-line utility. You will need to provide a bunch of binaries which represent the BIOS etc.

Type in man qemu-system-x86_64/ for the manual. Or read it here: http://dev.man-online.org/man1/qemu-system-x86_64/. Other possible forms are:
