iPhone 7/Plus How To Use An iPhone 7 Plus As Just A Video Camera

Hey all,

I tried to search this out but I can't find the exact answer. I create a ton of content for my business. Rather than use a camera and my iPhone, I'd like to buy a used 7 or 8 Plus for creating.

Here's my main question:

Can I just use an old iPhone without a sim or on a service plan and just move the files off via Airdrop of email/Messages if it's connected to wifi?

Can I connect a secondary iPhone to my Mac if it isn't on a service plan and still get the contect off?

Basically I want to turn a 7 or 8 Plus into am iPod.

You can use an iPhone with no SIM card or service plan.

The 7 Plus has a great camera, but if you’re looking to use it specifically for that purpose you’ll probably be better off getting a standalone camera.
