It looks like my old g3 iMac has finally given up the ghost (iMac Power issues thread)

The hard-drive still works and had some data on it..... how can I use it as an external drive to go with my iBook ?

I've found a IDE to USB cable but how do I power it? Or is there a case it can go in that will do all this?

You can buy external FireWire/USB 2.0 Enclosures to turn the drive into an external. Here's one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=987137&Sku=V13-1005&SRCCODE=GOOPROD&CMP=OTC-FROOGLE
