Ok, first of all I wanted to say that yesterday I created a thread asking about youtube utilities. Basically, I was describing an RSS client that I can use with youtube but I did not realize an RSS client was what I was looking for since as of yesterday I didn't really know what RSS was. After searching for "feedreader" on google I realized I needed RSS and I learned about what RSS can do. So if a mod reads this thread, please feel free to delete my utilities thread.

So I have an internet friend on a PC that uses feedreader MySQL http://www.feedreader.com/

He configured feedreader to search youtube for the newest videos. He has saved all his search tags and spam filters. Each individual search has its own folder. He can view everything in the client like he would if he was actually on youtube. And he can refresh the searches to display the newest videos. And mark videos as read / unread -- feedreader won't show videos that has already been viewed.

I downloaded netnewswire but nothing will happen when I add youtube search links.

I really doubt that the emulation software for Macs allows a ODBC connection to a MySQL server. Further you have to modify the software a little (xsl stylesheet and config files) to make the software fitting for youtube searches...
After he told me that I searched google "ODBC MySQL os x" and found that I can download software that will allow me to do an ODBC connection. GREAT!!

But what RSS client would be best, and how do I get it all to work?

Thanks!
