Following the instructions here and repeating for each iPad app will allow you to use iPad apps on your iPhone 4. I doubt that every app will work through this method, though it's worth a shot:

There's a lot of uses for running an iPad app on the iPhone 4, particularly for games that are iPad-exclusive. I'll try with Sam and Max tomorrow to find out how that works. I'll keep a list of apps that are fully compatible, kind of compatible, and not compatible here if anybody else tries this.
 
Cool tip, though I doubt you would want to try it with all iPad apps, especially games that were made for the iPad with all it's large screen real estate.
