I know Console is powerful, but I don't know exactly which log to select to look for trash "entries".

I need to run a search in Console on a client's Mac to discovered if any downloading activity took place during a certain time period, and a second search to discover if/when large movie files would have been deleted (moved into Trash).

This is a Snow Leopard Air, and the trash bin is empty.

Any help really appreciated! I don't know which of the items to select on the left, and I'm doing this at work and under deadline. A lot of money is involved, so my boss really needs an answer on this one.

Thanks.

Problem solved:

Console
Files
/var/log
daily.out

This log shows the change in size of hard drive from day to day, as well as massive data structure changes. Usually goes back about 2 months. Good forensics tool.
