Lets say I want to create a reminder, everyday at 09:00h, feed the dog, how do I do that, once and it shows for the rest of my life?

Actually iCal doesn't support repeating reminders.

What about this then?

As I don't use iCal, I don't know the right terminology for all these items.
But one can use an Event/Appointment then to remind oneself of feeding the dog(?)?

He could, it just means clogging up the calender with daily events.

This will all be fixed in Mountain Lion though :D

Heck, I use Events as reminders for everything. In fact, I only use them as reminders. What the heck would an Event be that isn't intended to remind me of it? The reason I use them is precisely because they repeat themselves. I have no use whatsoever for To-Dos in iCal. If I need a list of things I have to do that get crossed off once they are done, I use paper.
