In my head.
Hi, is is possible to use iPhone as an external camera with my MBP working with closed lid and external monitor? I would like to use it for Google Meet etc. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. It works easily. I tried the exact same configuration with an Intel MBP and newer iPhone. Even the reactions introduced with Sonoma work. Check out the webpage below.

Thanks. I did try it before, all wirelessly, and it did not work. Now I plugged in an usb cable and camer was detected right away. I can unplug midtime and in still works, but when I am over wifi it does not switch to iPhone automatically. When I use FaceTime app it works flawlessly.

Can you change iPhone camera setting, lens used particularly or you stuck at what Apples think is best?

I only used it wirelessly and worked first time. You have a dialog on the mac where you can change settings (Center Stage, Stage Light etc.) I don't think you can choose which camera is used directly though.
