What's the best way to use your Mac so that the battery has a long life? Is it good to let it go to 0% then recharge? Any tips are useful, thanks.

Use it until 0% and the mac goes to sleep on it's own. Then charge to 100%. Repeat if necessary.

That's not the proper method for calibration, though, which should probably be done once per month to increase the battery's longevity.

Marty Macfly, indeed that is not the entire procedure, there is more to it than that. I would read those guides carefully for the best battery care procedures.
 
Like they said, calibrate. Let it drain all the way to sleep, then recharge it completely.
Once a month is recommended.
