hi, i have a question, how to use the built in "mail" to use it with my yahoo e-mail ???
i can't seems to get it work, but strangelly it works flawlessly on my "mail" iPhone.

i can't understand why it can work on iphone but can't work on my macbook,
can anyone help me to set it up ??

i know i can pay to get POP acces with yahoo mail, but since it can be done freely with iPhone ,then why should i pay if i want to use it with my macbook ?

sorry for my broken english, thank you .

unless you have the pro account, you can't access yahoo thru mail or any other reader. i'm not sure exactly how the iphone accesses mail, but i think it actually logs into the website as opposed to accessing it thru pop. it would be nice to use mail for my yahoo account, but it can't be done.

but i'm sure that the iphone "mail" didnt log into the web to get the email ?
cause the notification is instantly, just like when we use .mac in our macbook.

it seems that apple already sets the POP adress automatically on those iphone, but not in the macbook :(

if you're talking about the notification when you get a new email, then what you're seeing is the push feature. you can turn that off on the iphone by going into the advanced settings of the yahoo account. it isn't a pop or imap-like feature. just a setting that allows yahoo to push the emails to your device.

i see, sorry for my ignorance, but can i have that same feature on my macbook too ?
thx

since you can't set up a 3rd party mail program to access yahoo mail, then to the best of my knowledge, no. sorry.
