How to use PC speakers for Mac Mini?

I have speakers connected to my PC, and I want to use them for my Mac Mini as well. Can I use an iMic to connect my Mac Mini to my PC's USB port, and so that the Mac Mini audio comes out of my PC speakers? Or does that even make sense? And what other options do I have?

If you don't mind having you PC running at the same time as the mini, you can get a cable with a 3.5mm jack plug at both ends,

Plug 1 end into your minis speaker port, and the other (assuming it has one) into you PCs Line-In port, you may have to fiddle with some volume controls in windows but it normally works fine,
