As you are probably aware, you can add phonetic names to contacts to allow Siri to know how the names are pronounced. For me, adding a phonetic name in such fields used to mean trying out different spellings and testing Siri's pronunciation of the name, but today I found a potentially easier way: spell out, in English, the syllables in the order in which they are said, put dashes between them.

For example, let's say Buddy Valastro's in your contacts list, and Siri mispronounces "Valastro". In his Phonetic Last Name field, you would write "Vuh-laa-stro"

or.....you can just teach siri how to pronounce the names.
