I've searched everywhere on how to use my SCX-4623FN printer/scanner with my MBP 16" with M1 Pro + macOS 12. There are no drivers for it and not much (useful) info. So, after spending some considerable time on this I finally managed to have a fully working printer and scanner.

1. Install Samsung Universal Print and Scan Driver (Samsung_Mac_Driver_V3.93.01.dmg) - usually for Samsung Xpress SL-M2070 Laser Multifunction Printer series from: https://support.hp.com/us-en/driver...0-laser-multifunction-printer-series/16450377
2. Go to System Preferences -> Printers -> Add your printer (+ plus sign button)
3. Use: Select Software
4. Search for this: Samsung M288x Series
5. Press OK and add
Note: make sure the web interface (eg. 192.168.1.100) has Toner Save as OFF too, otherwise you will get washed out pages !

You will now have fully working printer and scanner.

This will also work with other older Samsung printers that no longer have recent drivers (M1 / Apple silicon compatible) but you may need to select (install) a different driver instead of the M288x Series.

I hope this will be useful to other people searching for this.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I've got a perfectly excellent SCX-4623FN and ditto a perfectly excellent 2013 Macbook Pro, and haven't been able to print for the past year or so.... and now I'm back in business!

I've gotten the printer side working, but I cannot get the scanner to be defined. Can you detail how you installed the Samsung_Mac_Driver_V3.93.01.dmg as there is no installer?

Thanks
