If I am inspecting a black link bracelet, how can I verify it's a legit Apple product and not a knockoff? This was supposedly purchased with the original SS watch.

Inside the band, It will label the link band size and it will say 316 L stainless.

Thanks! Is this a pretty safe bet if I find this? The knockoffs don't bother with this level of detail?
No, and most knockoffs aren't looking to scam consumers anyway, just is available for those without $500 to spend on a band

Good choice on getting the Link Bracelet, I have a silver one and want one for my Space Black watch so badly!

The band was legit. The seller even showed me the box from the original watch. He bought the watch with the black link bracelet. It has the markings above as well.

The only downside to buying one of these is it's kind of gross. I had to spend some time cleaning out the previous owner's skill cells. :barf:

It's not that gross with a metal band, just put it in bleach for 7 minutes, and there's no way anything besides dirt could be left behind

UPDATE: DON'T WHAT I SAID

Before I cleaned it I was searching around and most said not to use bleach on SS. I soaked it in warm soaps water then ran it under the water to get the gunk out.

It sure is an awesome band though and I got it for $50.

Do NOT use bleach on stainless steel. I would suggest you research that topic and it can be corrosive to the stainless, especially if not diluted. All you need to do is use a fine soft bristle brush and warm soapy water, dry with a microfiber cloth.

Yeah I hadn't realised that, and I was going to change my post yesterday after Noob mentioned it but got distracted

Thankfully both of you caught my mistake, and I apoligise for it, didn't know it would have that effect on the steel
