One month service with Verizon, now wanting to switch to T-Mobil single plan.

Do I just bring my iPhone 5S to a T-Mobil store, and they will give me a T-Mobil Sim card to install, pay Verizon the ETF/Activation fee, and > Activate new service > or am I missing something ?

Thanks guy/gals

PS: T-Mobil coverage good in my neck of the woods. Don't travel much

go to t-mobile, they will begin the port process in store. this will automatically cancel your verizon account. verizon will send you a final bill with usage and termination fee. pay that, youre done.

from the verizon agreement.....

" If you cancel a line of Service, or if we cancel it for good cause, during its contract term, you'll have to pay an early termination fee. If your contract term results from your purchase of an advanced device, your early termination fee will be $350 minus $10 for each full month of your contract term that you complete. Otherwise, your early termination fee will be $175 minus $5 for each full month of your contract term that you complete"

I guess that pretty much just equates to you buying the phone outright....approx $600+ for the whole ordeal.

Can u pay the etf in installments? Like if its 350 can u pay like over 2 months

For a modest 32 percent interest on an installment plan.

Just kidding :)

Call them yourself ask for what you want and they'll work with you. Basically they just want to get paid.

They mail you the final bill. Pay off your balance as you see fit. If you don't pay it, it will go to collection.

You probably have 3-4 months of Verizon harassment before they dump it for pennies on the dollar to some collections. I would pay off immediate
Y, but if you feel like a gamble, you could probably pull off 3 payments.

Again, thank you for this reply ;)

That's what I'm thinking. 3 months. I get 2 phones that's 700 I'd pay off. Spread over 3 months isn't bad. I'd make a payment every month.
