Apple is hosting an online streaming event for the public and press on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The company is expected to announce its new iPhone 16 lineup alongside new Apple Watch models, and potentially other products during the event, dubbed "It's Glowtime." Here's how you can watch it and when, wherever you are in the world.

There are multiple ways to watch the September 9 event, with details listed below. We've also included a useful guide on when the event will take place in your particular time zone.

Apple Events Website

With the Apple Events website, you can watch the event live on a Mac, iPhone, ‌iPad‌, PC, or any other device with a web browser. The Apple Events website works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and other main browsers.

Just navigate to www.apple.com/apple-events/ using a web browser at the appropriate time to watch. You can visit the site now to add an event reminder to your calendar.

YouTube

Apple also plans to stream the event live on YouTube, which is perhaps the easiest and most efficient way to watch because the YouTube live stream can be viewed on every platform where YouTube is available, which is pretty much all platforms, from smartphones and tablets to consoles and smart TVs.

Apple has posted a placeholder for the September 9 event on YouTube, and you can visit it now to set an event reminder.

Apple TV App

Apple used to have a dedicated Apple Events app on the Apple TV, but ahead of WWDC 2020, it was folded into the Apple TV app. On event day, there will be a prominent ‌Apple TV‌ app section dedicated to the live stream, which can be watched on any device where the ‌Apple TV‌ app is available.

This includes the ‌Apple TV‌, iPhones, iPads, and Macs, as well as select smart TVs, streaming devices, and gaming consoles. If you have an ‌Apple TV‌, the ‌Apple TV‌ app is one of the best ways to watch the event live. Apple hasn't updated the ‌Apple TV‌ app with the new event as of yet, but it should be added soon.

This is getting silly. Apple needs to stop adding new buttons to the iPhone. I'm all for smarter buttons with more capabilities, but the capture button should replace/improve the action button, not be an entirely new button.

Why is this Apple Event called Glowtime? Are they hinting about a new product that glows? Anyone else wondering about the title, or am I missing something?

I remember Apple wanted to take out all the buttons on the phone as Jony Ive had wanted now that he’s gone they are adding back new buttons. Is the 3.5mm jack coming back to? Such innovation Apple

I totally disagree with this. The action button is great for any action but not for camera. I use it to open Guru Maps when hiking so I don’t need to take my gloves off.
The camera button should be great when in landscape mode and for me maybe the only reason to upgrade.

“Our new glow in the dark titanium frame not only lets you find your phone in the dark but also emits a low-level amount of radioactivity. Whilst well within FDA approved limits for adults this is however not safe for kids. We at Apple think it’s time you put down your phone on the bus and actually interacted with your kids.”

Not going to lie. As I was scrolling, I legit misread

glowtime
as
clowntime

must be the font.
or I’ve suddenly developed the ability to see things as they really are, like the glasses in they live

I doubt one more button would hurt. Capture button is pretty nice and convenient for photo taking. I’d see myself using it often.

If they start adding more buttons after that, then I’ll agree with you that it’s getting silly.

I tend to have the event running in a separate browser window on Safari then here in another and at least one website like engadget etc who are there running a live feed.....

I mentioned to my colleagues earlier that the Apple keynote was on tonight at 6pm and asked if they were planning to watch it. Just imagine if someone walked into an office with a rubber glove on their head, clucking like a chicken.... Well, that is the type of look they had on their faces.

I will watch on though while I am making our evening tea.

It’s on the right position for a shutter button.
Um, my volume controls are on the top left when I hold my SE v2 in portrait mode, and its on the top right when I tip it for landscape, where most of (at least my) photography takes place; are they in different places per phone model?

And, after watching the Event, I realized that button has a lot more functions than a volume button, so, uh, "never mind."[/RosannaDanna]
