I ordered a base MacBook Air that I’m excited to get my hands on. I’m upgrading from a mid 2012 MacBook Pro that has a good amount of USB ports.
I don’t need a ton of ports (or power for that matter) as I’ll be using it mainly for Office, Web browsing, etc. However, I know this thing only has two ports, one of which will be used for power. When I hook into an external monitor, I won’t have any ports left, which means I probably need to think about getting some sort of port extension device.
I’m assuming there are strips you can buy that will plug into one of the USB-C ports that have 2-3 more on the strip, but I don’t know how that works (for example, can you use them all at the same time if needed?).
Anyhow, assuming lots of people here have experience here, any recommendations on what to look at would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
