How to write Chinese characters on a Mac?

I have a wacom tablet connected to my Mac and I can use the Ink application to write English characters.

You can set the whole OS to use Mandarin if you want, but that's not exactly "writing." Not sure what you mean.

I am pretty sure that you can leave the OS in English and "write" in another language in a word processor if you use the right font and keyboard, but maybe someone who knows Chinese should answer.

If I get you correctly, that would require a handwriting recognition program written for Chinese. Never heard of one, but maybe someone else has.

There's an alternative solution now. I've developed an iPhone app called Finger.

It's a chinese handwriting tablet solution for Mac using iPhone or iPod Touch. There's also a free version where you can try for unlimited number of times.
