I am not using Thunderbolt yet, but I am using the mini display port to DVI cable from Monoprice, and the Apple Mini Displayport to DVI adaptor at work.
I plug and unplug this 4x a day, going back and forth from home to work with my machine. At home, I have my machine side ways in the BookArc pro holder so the adaptor cable hangs down the back of my computer.
I'm wondering if this "hanging down" is putting pressure/stress on the port? It seems sometimes now when I come to work I have to reconnect the apple adaptor a few times before my secondary display works.... And now at home, i'm getting some flashing on and off of the display with the cable plugged in...
Could be a bad cable, but since it's being flaky both at home and work I'm wondering if I have a connector that is coming loose.. Anyone else have issues with their mini DP connector?
