How well can the M2 MBA handle a large photo library?

I’m thinking of getting the new M2 MBA. I think the most taxing task I will have for it is scrolling through and organizing my gigantic photo library, approaching 400GB and more than 60,000 pictures and videos, all in Apple’s Photos App.

How well will the M2 MBA handle scrolling through and organizing this library?

How much more lag or delayed display of previews will I get with the top 24GB RAM, 2TB SSD compared to the M1Pro 32GB, 2TB SSD?

My M1/8/512 can handle my 160Gb with 27K of pics with absolute ease. I bet it will be fine.

Thats good to hear. Do you ever get those blank/white previews for a split second when scrolling through your library quickly? (Like, when dragging the scroll bar from the bottom to the top?) Or do your previews/thumbnails load instantly?

I haven't noticed any but i don't scroll super fast in photos.
