By curiosity, I'm just wondering how well you treat/protect your mac.

Personally, I leave it naked (no protecting film or case) but take great care of it, never even imagine touching the keys or the touchpad with the hand a little too greasy and transport it in a padded messenger bag. I also try to leave it plugged when I can to be sure the battery don't lose his health like my iPod did. So far so good, no scratch or anything.

I am the same -- I don't use any protection but take a great deal of care! My Macs are always on my desk or my lap and I'm not silly enough to leave them in places they could fall. Like you I also wouldn't touch them with greasy fingers!

I also have a wireless keyboard and mouse and use those when possible instead of wearing out the keys and trackpad.

I've had quite a few Macs, all of them I've owned for well over a year and when I came to sell them I was able to advertise them all as 'perfect' condition.

Except for my old white MacBook. That thing just seemed to discolor and scratch so easily.
