Before I get a 4S I'm just wondering this. I talk really fast (brought up with a language that speaks that way) and was just wondering if any setting would be able to pick this up well? Or would I have to slow down when talking to Siri?

My friend brought a 4S from the States and told me that at times you have to speak to Siri like to a little kid - slower and louder than normal. Well, it may be an issue with our accents, as we don't speak perfect English here in Finland.

I understand the thing with fast speaking. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with Jeremy from Top Gear when he's babbling at a rate of an AK-47 firing full-auto.

I bet it will not work for one of those Auction Speakers, the folks who shout the price etc.....LOL

Imagine Siri trying to keep up with one of them....

Siri has had no problem at all understanding me at all when speaking normally. Even better, it's had no problem keeping up when I'm speaking slowly, pausing, trying to decide what I want to say when composing text messages.

Most of the time, speaking at a normal cadence is just fine. On occasion, I have to slow down when it gets a word wrong, and that seems to do the trick.

You know the cyclic rate of an AK-47 is extremely slow right?
For your little analogy you picked like the slowest ROF assault rifle.

it is very very very fast. i said 'how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood' as fast as i could and it got it every single time. it picks up text dictating amazingly, although does not use any punctuation

If you say the punctuation, it will.
