How well does the iPad play with Google Musoc via Safari?

My wife and I may be picking up an iPad when the next refresh hits and I was wondering how well Google Music worked on Safari on the iPad?

Does it play in the background whilst locked/multitasking and on a seperate tab whilst browsing?

With any luck, a native app may turn up eventually which would help.

gMusic app exists for the iPad and the iPhone that accesses your Google Music. I have been using it for awhile and it works very well in the background etc.
