How well protected is the reciever?

Wgen pulling my iPhone 6 out of my pocket today, a little bit of moisture went over the reciever because my hands were a little greasy. Is the reciever easily susceptible to liquid damage?

I pickup my phone plenty of times with wet hands. No problems yet..

But at the reciever though? On the 5/5s, the distance between the outer glass and the reciever was greater than it was on the 6. It was "deeper" into the phone before because it was thicker
