how will 3.0 and push change an app like Loopt?

Currently the app relies on SMS texts to notify you when someone wants to see your current location. Will push allow Loopt not to have to use SMS texts?

Yes, if they implement it. But to be honest, i'd expect there to be a surprise or two in store location (based service) wise. All i'll say for now.
