Say I buy a Sprint or Verizon 4S and the Dev Team releases an unlock, will I be able to run the unlock and then stick an AT&T microSIM in the phone?

Seems probable. However, it may be far more difficult for hack-teams to unlock due to the combination of GSM and CDMA in the phones. We'll see.

Yeah, I was wondering that as well. I'm going to check out Sprint and if they aren't up to snuff hopefully I can unlock and take the phone to someone else.

Or you could try it for 14 days and if it doesnt work well avoid the etf and phone costs and just cancel.

Haha! Yeah, or that! I'm mostly wondering about unlocking to keep the resale value next year when the iPhone 4SS is announced. ;)

I wouldn't count on this happening anytime soon. Not saying that it won't but you never know what kind of issues arise. The dev-team has been truly amazing in what they do but sometimes, it takes a long time to find the hack and it's been getting harder.
