With an 18 hour battery life, there are going to be days where you forget to charge your watch overnight, or you have extremely heavy usage and the battery goes early.

I know there are a few different routes to go, I pre-ordered the NomadPod last night:

I figured that I could just post this thing up on my work desk or toss it in a backpack for on the go charging, however, I started to realize that there a ton of other potential "powerpacks" that pack a much higher mAh into them at a fraction of the cost (and now have extreme "buyers remorse).

For example:

What are your thoughts on additional power supplies? Have any of you pre-ordered the NomadPod?

I am thinking about canceling my pre-order for a different option, open to suggestions!

I preordered the NomadPod and think thats the best solution for me when I'm out and about.

from what I see, the nomad doesn't include the cable so you still need an extra cable (at $30!!!....sometimes I think the costs of these cables from apple is just crazy). I would just buy a cable to keep in the car and not worry about buying any other fancy dock

I ordered a second charger for work minuets after I did my pre-order.

Same here. Ordered a 38mm for the wife, 42mm for me, and an extra 1m charger on the go. Will work nicely with my this Aukey portable battery that accepts a Lightning cable like the iPhone.

I have a usb port in my car, so I just got another charger to use in the car. I work as a private guitar teacher and I drive to my students so I'm in the car like 70% of the time.

I just ordered a 3 footer that I will carry with me. My backpack has an extra lightning cable as well. I carry a LifeCharge 16,800 mAh battery pack that has a fast charing port as well as a "normal" charging port. I also carry an iPad power cube so I'll be covered for all my devices. # I'll use the 6 foot watch cable for the dock I'll be getting for night charging beside the bed.

i canceled my nomadpod preorder because i realized i can just used any other battery packs that i can use for other devices.

i got the mophie duo xl thing holds 12,000 mah . bought it last christmas when i went to india, it was that thing lol :) power my 6 plus 2-3 times full charge;)

It has a wireless worship power inducer, you find some apple watch users and then do a quick 15min worshipping ceremony, gives you about 8 hours of usage.

Looks like this:

I'm going to charge my Apple watch every night alongside my 6+ so I don't have to worry about it.

I might just live without the Watch for a few hours since my iPhone will still be nearby until I get to a charger.

Power bank in my Scott-E-Vest jacket. This is however for long flights (14+ hours). I probably won't need to charge the watch that frequently. A full 12 hour day is about all I need.

easy...I never have forgotten to charge my iPhone at night, so I'll charge the watch alongside the phone. I'll also have a cable for my truck so that when I'm driving (and not playing with my watch or phone), I'll have both topping off their charge.

I've got a beefy external USB battery pack I got off Amazon for about £30 so will just use that. Things like the Nomad are nice and they probably make things a bit more convenient but you'll probably get more recharges out of an ugly but cheap and high capacity external USB battery pack.
