i see people talking about black light leak, not sure if this is a big issue with macbook pros, but how would i even know i have it!

Put your screen to a solid color (change background + hide dock, watch a widescreen movie in fullscreen mode), preferably a black background. At the bottom look for irregularities. It's nothing to worry about really, as few MBP's have this issue. if you don't notice anything now, you probably don't have anything because it is really hard to notice.

If you have to go out of your way to look for a problem, there is no problem.

My MBP's display is pretty much the same as that, but I can't see anything which resembles that kind of inconsistency when it's actually displaying an image, so it's not a big deal imo. I've got 99 problems but a backlight ain't one ;)

Yea I notice nothing when it's not all black. Even then it's hard to tell. And I never watch movies on my MacBook pro.
