at&t told me that nothing was wrong with my order that it's going through some approval stage or something like that and if there is any problems i would get an email telling me there is a problem with my order.

but now i'm hearing other things..
 
Is apple not taking preorders anymore? after I select my plan it tell me to preorder at an apple store every time
 
Wanted to get it delivered but had to reserve it at a nearby Apple store when the system wasn't working earlier. I don't mind going to the Apple store at all, I just don't want them touching my new phone, but it's okay, I'm set for June 24th so I'm happy (even if it took all day for me to get).
 
Finally got through for two for my wife and I at the Apple site at about 5:00PM PDT. The waived activation fee from my FAN account also came through. I just kept trying both the Apple and the AT&T sites all day... June 24th delivery
 
I need a "can't tell if I ordered" poll option. The final confirmation page "oops"'d but had "thank you" in the title bar. I have no way of knowing what it did.
 
I first tried from roughly 5 am to 6 with no luck and speratically at work up until 12:15 pm when I went to bestbuy. I preordeed there, but seeing as though I am impatient and having to wait for a 5:3 appt I went back to the apple store and tried again when i got home I got through twice once for me and once for the wife, so tomorrow I am gonna cancel my preorder at bb.

That seems odd; I got error messages that said "Oops" a couple steps before completing and I had to restart a couple times before I got it. None that said thank you also. I suggest checking your email in an hour or two.
 
Needed to be an option for 'received order number, but has no clue what's going on with order beyond that! ' :eek:
 
Just a heads up. It only SHIPS on July 2nd. It gets delivered between the 6th and 8th I believe. I thought the same thing as the OP originally. :D
 
i'm not sure, i did a pre order at the store as the second customer...got a receipt and an order number. got an automated email from the salesmen, but no conformation. called att and was told they got my order and orders placed after 2 my time would be a different delivery date. i ordered at 10am, so i'm hoping all is well for the 24th.
