So my only Mac laptop is a 2019 MacBook Pro intel i5 8gb base model. Its running latest sequoia and its ridiculously slow, fan always high, and battery life is terrible.
how is m4 MBA battery life doing web browsing, YouTube, emails, Notion, some Musescore Studio sheet music creation (probably not demanding). how's the battery life for normal stuff like this?

If you keep your screen at mid brightness and don't turn the volume up loud constantly, you're likely to go 12 to 14 hours before it needs a charge.

12-14 of pure screen usage or like “ 12-14 hour day if using on and off. “? Cuz my MacBook intel is dead after 6-7 actual screen on. Sometimes 4 if heavy usage

I have the M4. I use it mostly at full brightness unless it's at night time. And I usually have my AirPods Pro or max connected. I only have to charge it every 2-3 days or so. That's with moderate usage during that window
