The ability in iOS26 to screen unknown callers has reduced the number of scam/spam calls I get from 1 every couple of days to 0. They all give up when they hit the AI call screener, which is great.

But I've had a couple instances where a call I wanted to receive didn't come through because the person got confused and gave up. Most recently was a delivery driver, and that ended up in me having to wait until the next day to get my package delivered.

I'm wondering how it's been going for other people. Has anyone else missed important calls because of this?

It also seems like you can't have it enabled on one line/SIM and disabled on the other. Ideally I would like for my personal line to have call screening on, but my work line to just ring, without my customers having to explain to an AI why they're trying to reach me.

Perhaps this sort of thing will become more widespread and eventually there will be less instances of legitimate callers just hanging up or getting annoyed when they get screened.

Interested to hear your experiences.

Haven’t experienced any negatives about it so far. But I have noticed it doesn’t work 100%. I still get calls that come through, some within the ai prompt even.
