Apple Vision Pro is finally out in the US, and I’ve seen some reports that the field of view is much worse than the Quest 3. What’s your opinion? Is it similar to the Quest 2’s FOV?

I have the Q3 and would say it's a little bit more constrained. Granted, I haven't had a VR unit that didn't give me that tunnel vision feeling so it's just part of the experience unfortunately.

Honestly it's not something that I've noticed. I'm completely blown away by the visuals - so expansive, colorful, and stunning!

Now if you're used to the Quest 3, then that's a different matter. I've only tried the Quest 3 as a guest and never as an owner, so it's difficult for me to compare. But from what I've experienced so far, the APV has so many advantages over my limited experience with the Quest 3, that any difference FOV is hardly noticable if at all.

PSVR2 and Quest 3 have about 110 degrees

Valve Index is around 120, give or take.

Vision Pro is estimated to be 100 give or take.

😔

The real problem on FOV comes when you've tried larger FOV headsets (like the index)

The gap between 100, 110, 120 sounds inconsequential, but it's anything but

It makes a huge difference with each tick wider
