There seemed to be a lot of folks with graphite and blue phones complaining about the shiny PVD coating in November. Furthermore, folks claimed the new ceramic glass was much more scratch prone.

However, I've noticed those threads have died down. Have these phones turned out to be pretty resistant to wear after all?

My X is 38-39 months old and it's honestly flawless with no case (besides a pouch in my pocket). I don't know if if the glass and the very black coating was particularly more durable than the current phones? Thank you.

Pacific blue pro max here no screen protector, also use the phone occasionally without a case, screen still looks brand new not even a scratch, coating still looks brand new.

Phone is always in front of my wallet in my pocket, no keys or coins in the same pocket.

Common sense and your iPhone screen and coating will be fine. 👌

Before my 12 pro max had a xs max without a screen protector, screen was also flawless after 2 years.

Super appreciate that.

Could I trouble you to ask how long you've had the blue pro max now? Also unrelated, what did you think of the blue after coming from I'm guessing a black XS?

Purchased it on launch day, went from a silver xs max to pacific blue 12 pro max. Previous iPhones have been silver, enjoying the pacific blue, it was time for a change.

Everyone that sees it always comments on how nice the color is, especially the blue stainless steel frame.
