OK so they say what, 7 hr battery life? I get 5 hours. I thought I'd see how everyone else is doing on battery with their 2011 MacBook Pros. Mine is just a stock 13".

Depends on what you're doing. Mine is doing a good 5-6 hours. If I don't do anything apart from internet, it gets the max out of it.
OK so they say what, 7 hr battery life? I get 5 hours. I thought I'd see how everyone else is doing on battery with their 2011 MacBook Pros. Mine is just a stock 13".
I have the 15" MBP and I can get 7 to 8 hours if I tune the settings.
- Use only integrated graphics card.
- Reduce brightness down to 50-60%.
- Run only 1 to 3 programs (web browsers), nothing heavy in the background.
- Turn off bluetooth.
It sounds bad, but it's not out of the ordinary for most people who using it to just browse the web and check email I guess. Otherwise I get about 3 to 4 hours in the estimate.
