Hoya HMC v Kenko Pro1D Filters

Hi

I'm interested in views on Hoya HMC Pro filters compared to Kenko Pro1D filters, both UV and polarised.

I'm looking at buying the Nikon 24 - 70 f/2.8, and one pro store recommends the Hoya and another recommends the Kenko.

I did hear that Kenko bought Hoya (or the other way around), but after some further digging it looks like they are both owned by Tokina. The hoyafilters.com website has the Pro1D designation for its filters, and the pictures look like the Kenko Pro1D filters rebadged as Hoya.
