I've had it with this worthless install disk. The useless suite of HP apps installs, but refuses to acknowledge the fact that the printer is plugged in. No matter what I try, the HP Setup Assistant can't find its own printer.

Is there a standalone program out there, preferably freeware, that will allow me to use the scanner on this thing, at least?
