Hi, I bought a new iMac having checked HP site before, for updates re my brilliant HP Designjet 10PS as OK for OSX10.5. In reality it only has OSX10.5 drivers (which are in the system software as standard). What is actually needed is the RIP update to the original one supplied by HP for OS9 and OSX classic mode.
I have sourced a third party RIP - PowerRIP X which suggests it runs the 10PS. Unfortunately it is arround £230 inc VAT, which is too high for the age of this perfect printer. Does any one:
A) Know of a cheaper effective RIP or solution?
B) know if the Power RIP X is any good anyhow?
C) Have a copy of the Power RIP X for sale second hand?
D) Know of a string of code that can be added to the original HP RIP software to make it OSX10.5.6 compatible? (I did this some years ago with an Old A3 Apple Colour printer and it worked)?
Any suggestion welcome
Thanks
IAN
