HP Designjet 5000 and OSX Lion

Hi All

I am trying to buy an older large format printer, namely an HP designjet 5000, i use OSX Lion but cant seem to find out if this printer will work or not as there seems to conflicting information on various sites.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

I've been having a heck of a time getting mine to work with 10.7, had a few problems with 10.6 but could still print. Not sure if the defect is entirely the lack of OS/driver support or also somewhat on me...

I am currently trying to get one of these going on Snow Leopard.
If anyone with experience of this could help me that would be AMAZING
