Hey guys, here's the deal:

My only OS X computer is an iBook, and it's my primary computer. In my livingroom I have a desktop PC setup with an HP DeskJet 3930 connected to it. I am not able to print from OS X to the printer, I get the resulting error "Remote Downlevel Document" - or something similar to that in the print jobs queue on Windows.

So, I read around a bit and thought perhaps that if I selected the appropriate printer model (rather than simply 'Generic') when adding the printer I may get it to work. Well, my printer's not listed by default on the printer list on OS X. It is, however, supported by default on Intel-based Macs.

I obtained the appropriate install software from the HP website, installed it, rebooted, and the printer is still not listed on the list of models. I even used the CD that came with the printer - still no luck.

Anyone know how to get the model to show-up on the list of printers, or another way to solve the issue with OS X to Windows printing?

Thanks in advance!
