Hp Driver for printer

Does anyone know were I can get a HP 1100 laser jet driver for Tiger? I tried Gimp and can't find it anywhere. I did have the driver for panther but isn't not in the list anymore. Or is there a different driver I can use :mad:

According to the HP website it's not supported, but I'd try to contact HP support. Their support is great, I wish their drivers were good, too (I'm owning a Deskjet 5652 and the drivers - I tried several versions - have some severe bugs).
 
Before I upgraded to Tiger it worked with panther. What I used was Gimp-Print but I can find a sub driver that I used to get it to work

The drivers are on my iMac (.txt files), printer is hooked up to my PC. Still getting the Unsupported PCL error.
 
Here is a Linux site that supports drivers for Mac OS X, it contains 514 printer drivers.

In any case you should be able to use an OS X driver that is PCL5e and most of your printer functions should work.
 
Still getting the Unsupported Personality: PCL error.

Do I have to do anything with the drivers? Do they have to be in a specific folder? Does the printer have to be set up on my mac in a special way??? Because just having them and printing does the same thing as not having them and printing.

NB: The error is getting printed out as the only line on the page.

How is you printer hooked up (Jetdirect, Usb, directly to PC) you needed to install the print driver on the imac and also install the both files to get it to work? What I have is a PB connected wirelessly that connects to a Jetdirect which I have two printers on it. Now I set it up using Ip printing and it works fine. Here is the site again from my post earlier

My iMac is connected through my Lynksys router to a PC, in turn connected to the printer through the old pins.
 
Don't know, GIMP says to use the HP LaserJet 6 driver...

Of course it says it will work, work sort of, or not at all ... may be that a slight OS tweak changed things enough to kill it.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem, CANNOT get this thing to print over a network, still getting the unsupported personality pcl claim.
