I've seen a great deal on an HP L2045w widescreen monitor, with the intention of using it as an external monitor for my iBook G4 12" (I've got Screen Spanning Doctor installed), but reading through the specs on the HP website it says the following:

1680x1050 @ 60Hz (native, recommended) All VESA standard video modes up to 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz; also supports some Sun models – 1152 x 900 @ 76 Hz and Mac models – 1152 x 870 @ 75 Hz and 832 x 624 @ 75 Hz

Does that mean that I'd only be able to get up to 1152x870 on the monitor from a mac? Or if I ran it at 60Hz would I be able to get the 1680x1050 resolution? It's been a while since I've dealt with screen refresh rates so I've forgotten how they work

Thanks in advance for any help,

jack
