Hello. I have an old HP Laserjet 6P printer that I have hooked up to my mac via a Parallel to USB converter cable. It will print when I am running virtual PC windows 2000, but I cannot find a driver that will work with Mac OS X Panther. The computer sees the printer but I cannot find a driver to actually make it print. Upon further research with HP it seems that the 6P is not supported in Mac OS X. Is there a way anyone has found around this to trick the printer into working anyway? Thanks all :)

You should have a PPD file for the LaserJet 6MP already installed on your computer. It will be there unless you removed it. Lest there be any doubt, the LaserJet 6P and LaserJet 6MP are members of the same family. You can also use the LaserJet 6P GIMP-print driver.

The GIMP-print driver worked perfectly! Thank you very much!! :D
