Just bought an HP Officejet 4500 Wireless multifunction printer.
I set it up and it prints fine via USB and an "ad hoc" WiFi network.
However, it simply will not print via my local AirPort BaseStation WiFi network. The local network won't even recognize it. The error states that the HP unit is "out of range." It is two feet from the Mac.
I have reset the WiFi settings on the HP unit and updated to the latest HP driver. No dice.
Per the HP help desk, since the Mac prints to the HP via the "ad hoc" network, the problem is not with the HP unit. I think this is correct. It also prints fine from USB, but I'd like to take the printer off my desk as it wastes a lot of desk space.
Any ideas on how to get my BaseStation to let my Mac print to my HP printer through the network???
Many thanks.
Tom
