HP Photosmart All-In-One Problems

Hey everybody. I just got an HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One printer. Everything works fine except for scanning. The scan program, HP Scan Pro, will not load. It shows up in the dock, bounces, and goes away. Every time. I repaired permissions and reinstalled the software 3 times. I even updated the software from HP's site. Please help me!
 
Update: HP just sent me an email describing a rather lengthy way to remove all traces of the HP software and reinstall a newer version, but I still have the same problem.

Has anyone gotten this printer to work right on their Mac?
