Well this is new to me. I got this printer/scanner when I got the Macbook not too long ago and I am finally getting around to setting it up on the new iMac. It worked perfectly fine on my old G5 iMac running Tiger but for some reason I can't get it to work right on the new Snow Leo. iMac.

I open the HP Device Manager and go to "scan picture". It opens up HP Scan Pro and the scanner starts going but then I get a message on the screen that says:

Error

Sorry an unknown error has occured

I fiddled around with some of the preferences and it's saying that it can not communicate with the scanner (which is wrong because it tells it to start scanning and it prints fine). All updates have been done to both the computer and the scanner software.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem with ANY of the HP peripherals? Need some help with this guys/gals.

Thanks for the time.

For future reference to searchers, apparently HP has decided it would not be worth their time and money to make an "old" printer/scanner compatible with Apple's new OS. Which really sucks because it was a good combo package. So go get a new one.

I'll hold onto mine for when I get my G5 back up and running.
